BUGANDA MINISTER OF SOCIAL SERVICES VISITS UNHLS
19TH Oct-2018 - UNHLS A team from Buganda Kingdom led by Minister for Social Services (which include Health), Owek. Prosperous Nankindu, paid a courtesy visit to the Uganda National Public Health Laboratories in Butabika, as part of the kingdom's continued collaboration with the Institution as well as the Ministry of Health to improve the health of all Ugandans. For the third year running, the Ministry of Health has partnered with Buganda Kingdom to create sickle cell awareness, and also mobilize resources to support sickle cell efforts across the country.This is done through the annual Kabaka Birthday Run, under the theme, "Breaking the Silence Against Sickle Cell Disease”. Owek. Nankindu appreciated the commendable work done at UNHLS, pledging continued collaboration on behalf of the kingdom especially in areas of diagnosis and disease prevention.
