Visit to ALIS-HLIMS pilot Sites

Yesterday, the CDC team of 3 accompanied by CPHL IT team, visited two 2 sites each to assess the implementation of the ALIS(African Laboratory Information System) in the laboratories. The sites visited were, (Jinja RRH & Kayunga Hosp), (Luweero HCIV & Mityana Hosp) and (Gombe Hosp & Maddu HCIV). It was amazing how the laboratory personnel adapted the system and prefer it to the paper-based system as it makes it easier in report generation by a click of a mouse. Despite the few challenges, the laboratories can't wait for the system to be launched.
