At MoH Uganda- Department of National Health Laboratory and Diagnostic Services (NHLDS), we proudly recognize the outstanding men and women behind the scenes, our laboratory heroes whose skill, speed, and resilience played a critical role in Uganda’s successful containment of the 2025 Sudan Virus (SUDV) Ebola outbreak.

From confirming the first case within just 12 hours to testing over 2,500 samples across the country, the teams at NHLDS, UVRI, and our Mobile Laboratories in Mbale and Bwera demonstrated what true commitment and Lab excellence look like.
