Mentorship in placing orders for supplies conducted in Kabong, Kitgum, Abim, Agago and Amuria
On 29th – 31st January 2014, Baylor Uganda supported CPHL to facilitate a workshop for Laboratory in-charges, clinical officers, store managers and ART Clinical heads.
Mr. Dan Kasule who facilitated this workshop that was held in Kotido district was aiming at filling gaps of the challenges of placing orders for laboratory supplies and medicines among the newly accredited facilities in the northern region to manage ART patients.
The prevailing situation is that these health personnel are not yet conversant with the systems for placing orders and this has resulted in delays of supplies or being under supplied.
The officers don’t know when and how to place orders yet they are accredited to start managing ART patients. Follow up or similar workshops are recommended in other districts.
