The mayor Nakawa Division, Mr. Bilimwezo Ronald Nsubuga had a brief meeting with us and appreciated our services, the beauty of the area, the cooperation between us and them as Nakawa division, not forgetting the outreach on women's day with highly specialized doctors to attend to women for free and with ease. He has invited us in a Nakawa's stakeholders' meeting that he is planning in form of a breakfast where people will talk about the Nakawa we want as they build a strong network.

Finally the Laboratory Information System that was installed in facilities awaiting use, has been tested in Jinja, Masaka and Mubende referral hospitals. Lab technicians and clinicians were able to interact with the system and patients received reports generated by the system. The users appreciated and embraced the system. Soon A-LIS will be officially launched.

In an effort to aid the recently trained Lab SPARS supervisors with transport means, Uganda National Health Laboratory Services and Uganda Health Supply Chain organized a six days’ training in defensive riding for the Lab SPARS supervisors. The training began yesterday 15th – 20th, May 2017 at Garuga Motor Cross Track. The Defensive motorcycle riding course will be followed by a riding test conducted by an Inspector of Vehicles from the Police traffic unit.

There are various ways on how people try to treat and suppression diseases. So the sickle cell team from the UNHLS body decided to call Herbal researchers for a training so as to understand the Sickle cell disease and given psycho-social support and home management skills.

In every setting, people are aught to learn the basics in first aid as a means of saving lives. Today as a family, we were educated on how to administer first aid to various accidents that may occur in our environment. We appreciate the services offered by St. John ambulance

This was the best of all the trainings according to the participants. The sessions were so interactive and hands on that left participants yearning for more. All could not be tackled by the facilitators but at least the basics were shared in the two days.
