Once again, Dr. Ocici Charles gathered the UNHLS staff together with the Hub coordinators from 100 hubs on how to live a self driven life. He spoke of the 3 attributes of successful people being Health, Networks and Financial independence. The presentation was mind changing. Great thanks to UNHLS management for inviting the Hub coordinators to share the knowledge gained from Dr. Ocici. Knowledge shared is power multiplied.

The UNHLS staff(CPHL and NTRL) had an interesting and productive session with Executive Director of Enterprise Uganda, Mr. Charles Ocici on finance management and investment at GEMS Cambridge International this morning. The staff was so grateful for the best offer by management at the start of the new year. With the knowledge gained, we hope to have great investors in the near by future.

ACCA the global body for professional Accountants, this afternoon donated 15000kits for Sickle cell at the Ministry of Health. Its an honor to have another donation towards Sickle cell in less than a month after that from the Buganda Kingdom that was witnessed at UNHLS/CPHL on the 24th of Last month.

The non Lab staff had a training for Bio-safety Bio-security on the weekend to minimize the number of occurrences at work. The training was facilitated by the Biosafety Biosecurity Manager, Mrs. Namulindwa Christine.

Biorisk management is a vital area that needs close attention as it deals with effective management of risks posed by working with infectious agents and toxins in laboratories. The UPDF soldiers are undergoing a Lab Biorisk management training that began yesterday 4th Dec 2017 and runs till 6th Dec 2017.

As we get the HIV epidemic under control, we reach out to the community and ensure that they are freely tested and get to know their status so as to act accordingly. On the weekend, 334 clients were tested for HIV and Hep B of which 3 and 10 were positive respectively. Your health is our priority.
