The UPDF soldiers are undergoing a Lab Biorisk management training that began yesterday 4th Dec 2017 and runs till 6th Dec 2017.

As we get the HIV epidemic under control, we reach out to the community and ensure that they are freely tested and get to know their status so as to act accordingly. On the weekend, 334 clients were tested for HIV and Hep B of which 3 and 10 were positive respectively. Your health is our priority.

In order to monitor indicators of every facility centrally, a team of developers are designing a dashboard to capture periodic reports of facilities. The 3 days workshop that began yesterday is to clearly state the customer requirements and KPI(Key Performance Indicators) for the quick development of the system.

The just ended 3days (16-18Nov 2017) training for the second/additional Hub bike riders was to introduce them to Bio risk Management, Bioethics and code of conduct pertaining the field, personal protective equipment, decontamination, sterilization & disinfection, to mention but a few. The training involved video presentations and practical demonstrations for quick administration of information and shared knowledge.
